O.O How I miss my winter break :(
Anyways, I was never a big celebrator of any occasions in life, until I turned 18. Well of course when I was a toddler I used to be so excited about CNY that I couldn't sleep on the CNY eve picturing in mind what I'm gonna wear and what nail colours should I pair with my outfits. But then when I grew a lil' bit older I thought it is just one of those days and celebrations are mostly hassles.
Until I turned 18 and knew someone who taught me to celebrate every single thing in life. Big or small, ups or downs, rainy or sunshine. As geeky as I may sound, but that was when I realized that celebrations are sometimes important, be it as a reminder or indicator, or even just for the sake of creating memories.
Well last year we went to Manchester to celebrate CNY, where I get to call my brother and showed off to him that I set my feet on Old Trafford, hehh. Well if I must decide, buying him and my cousin jerseys was probably the best thing I ever did in CNY thus far lol. But this year, neither am I going to Scotland nor York, I'll be celebrating it oriental way with my Chinese friends. Hahh. Well hopefully I'll get some interesting footage tomorrow, so you can appreciate my very Chinese Mandarin. LOL.
Having said that, I just want to say that, no matter where you are and how are you gonna get through the day, just try to pick out 10 minutes of your tight schedule, pamper yourself with a meal that you really love, or simply bask in anything that you're passionate about, because no one says you need a crowd to celebrate, you can always be your own reason to be happy, no? :)
Anyways, last but not least, I wish you...
Gong Xi Fa Cai!
hehhh XD
Have a nice chinese new year celebration :)
