So we heard a lot about don't compare your own achievements with others' sayings but I too can understand if you are unable to practise it, because it is sometimes human nature to compare, I get it really. But there is a line, of your responses to such comparisons. And I am saying this purely from my own angle of view.
It is okay if you opt to be envious of others' achievements or talents or anything really. Envious is not a sin, it just shows that you are not fully confident of yourselves, I get it, but if you overreact on your envious nature sometimes it can be very annoying. I mean, really. Being envious is one thing, but if because of this you are hoping for that person to fall or to trip over something, basically to wish the worst out of him only because he achieves better and he never even offended you or even know you, I just don't appreciate people like this. It could be otherwise if he offended you. But if you're envious of someone over something, can you at least be happy for that person? Okay or maybe just try to work hard to keep up to that standard that you envied but please don't say things or hope for that person to fall. It is... immoral.
We need to understand that we cannot have everything. Deal with it and stop messing people's life. How hard is it to be more supportive of others? Plus, I'm sure you don't want someone to come over and kick you in your face when you did trip over someday, right? Be humane.
