How do I begin? At first, I find Helena very annoying because Crystal the fortune teller is obviously a fraud and Helena just believed her unconditionally that she could even turned down her own daughter's request just based on her irresponsible predictions. I guess I did not put enough attention to the movie as a whole during my fresh watch, so I just found it plain boring.
But this movie, it sends out a message, that means a million to me:
"Sometimes illusions are better than medicines."
I talk about living in denial constantly, and most of the times, I slanted it towards the wrong side. When in fact, like everything in life, it has its virtues and vices. Sometimes, you just have to believe...
Believe that one day, you will meet a tall dark stranger.
