Was looking at the recent movies the other day and found Midnight in Paris, a Woody Allen movie. I am quite picky when it comes to movie, because I am always very trapped in the movie scenarios so I gotta be very selective to prevent myself from feeling crappy for something that does not hit me in real life. But I always watch Woody Allen's after careful inspection of the trailer.
Nostalgia is denial- denial of the painful present... the name for this denial is golden age thinking- the erroneous notion that a different time period is better than the one one's living in- it's a flaw in the romantic imagination of those people who find it difficult to cope with the present. - Midnight in Paris, 2011
One of my favourite quote from the movie, because that is so so true, can you not agree? :)
Present is always unsatisfying, because life is always unsatisfying.
Still hold your head up high.
