Ever since I start dwelling into the Goodreads app, more and more books are piling up my to-buy list. It's pretty hard to resist, when someone wrote in the review that how much the book has inspired her or change her or all that good jazz. And then there's this little section where you can find all different quotes made by different authors, which makes it even more irresistible lol. Okay it's been a while since I gorge on quotes discoveries, 'coz after you'd done intense reading on it, you know that most quotes circulated across the net, you'd already read it before. So I got bored and turned into reading books. Anywhos, this is not the point.
“People are afraid to pursue their most important dreams, because they feel that they don’t deserve them, or that they’ll be unable to achieve them. We, their hearts, become fearful just thinking of loved ones who go away forever, or of moments that could have been good but weren’t, or of treasures that might have been found but were forever hidden in the sands. Because, when these things happen, we suffer terribly.” ― Paulo CoelhoWhich, I find totally straight to the bull's eye. Okay so I am an emotional coward, like I detest and numb out emotions that I fear going to make me any weaker, or powerless. So indirectly, I opted out a lot of things. This is not healthy.
We must embrace our vulnerability in order to feel joy. I ought to be more courageous.
